SECRET NUMBER Jumps Up to Second Place In The NEW K.ID’s Weekly Chart
SECRET NUMBER jumped up to second place in this week’s THE NEW K.ID Chart after falling out of the top 10 last week. SECRET NUMBER announced that they would be making a comeback on November 4th, 6 months after their debut single, ‘Who Dis?’. SECRET NUMBER’s agency, VINE Entertainment and RD COMPANY commented that the popular K-Pop girl group would be releasing their second single this upcoming month. The super rookie of K-Pop proved that they are here to stay after constantly showing impressive performance after their debut. Music Video of their debut single, ‘Who Dis?’ got over 10 million views within 11 days of its release, showcasing SECRET NUMBER’s immense global popularity. The agency further remarked that the fans could expect a better and more powerful performance from SECRET NUMBER that will please fans’ eyes and ears in this next single.
Coming in at #1 is BLACKPINK, who once again asserted their dominance after giving the top spot to TREASURE last week. BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop girl group to have ever sold more than one million albums in sales after their release of ‘THE ALBUM.’ According to BLACKPINK’s agency, YG Entertainment, more than 1.2 million copies of ‘THE ALBUM’ were sold until October 26th. In South Korea alone, ‘THE ALBUM’ has been sold more than 870,000 copies, surpassing a previous K-Pop girl group sales record of 760,000 copies held by S.E.S. BLACKPINK continues to shatter the record after placing second in ‘Billboard 200 Chart, ’ a record set by a female group following Danity Kane’s ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse.’
At #3 is ONF, who recently sang an OST for KakaoTV originals, ‘Love Revolution.’ ‘Love Revolution’ is a new web-series airing on KakaoTV that tells a teen romance story with a comedic twist. One of the OST for the series is ‘Not a Sad Song’ performed by ONF. The song has gained a lot of attraction as it was not only produced by MonoTree’s Hwang Hyun, who produced many ONF tracks but also accurately parallels the show's romantic feelings.
