HELLO Newcomer! CIX Takes The First Place In The NEW K.ID’s Weekly Chart

NEW K.ID, the No.1 TV channel for all K-Pop entertainment and source (https://cutt.ly/NEWKID), announced its weekly chart for the 1st week of November. Now available on Xumo, VIZIO, LG Channels, and Samsung TV Plus.

CIX jumped up to first place in this week’s THE NEW K.ID Chart for the first time since NEW K.ID’s launch. The world’s only music sales tracker that has big data on K-Pop, Hanteo Chart, revealed that CIX’s third mini-album <‘HELLO’ Chapter 3. Hello, Strange Time> surpassed over 40,962 sales of copies since its release on October 27th. This is already CIX’s the fastest and the most successful album, even better in sales than <‘HELLO' Chapter 2. Hello, Strange Place> which was released last November. There is a lot of anticipation surrounding CIX’s third EP with its title track ‘Jungle’ topping Soribada’s music chart and its music video gaining more than 20 million views.

Coming in at #3 is TXT, who placed first place on Oricon’s Weekly Album Chart. On November 2nd, TXT and BTS’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment announced that TXT’s new album, <minisode1 : Blue Hour>, placed first place on Oricon’s Weekly Album Chart. This is a monumental achievement following the album also topping Oricon’s Daily Album Chart on October 30th. According to Hanteo Chart, TXT broke its record by selling more than 300,000 copies of the new album since its release on October 26th. This is twice the first week sales as <THE DREAM CHAPTER: ETERNITY>. <minisode1 : Blue Hour> was released as a transition piece before TXT’s upcoming new project and captured small episodes from each of the five members. TXT is expected to perform on stage with its title track, ‘Blue Hour’.

At #5 is GFRIEND, who recently released a highlight compilation and medley of their new album, ‘回:Walpurgis Night’. This new album highlight compilation includes not only a teaser of GFRIEND’s newest song, ‘MAGO’ but also other album tracks such as 'Love Spell', 'Three Of Cups', 'GRWM', 'Secret Diary', 'Better Me', 'Night Drive', 'Apple', 'Crossroads', 'Labyrinth', and ‘Back to the Start’. The medley surpassed over one million views only after one day of its release, showcasing fans’ excitement toward the highly anticipated album. ‘MAGO’ is especially anticipated to please the fans with a retro disco sound and a catchy melody. GFRIEND will be releasing '回:Walpurgis Night’ at 6 PM KST on November 6th.

Ranked at #6, LOONA set its record by breaking into Billboard 200 with their new mini-album, ‘Midnight(12:00)’. This is the popular girl group’s first time breaking into Billboard 200 as LOONA placed 112th in the highly reputable chart. LOONA also broke into Billboard’s The Artist 100 by placing 97th, proving their global popularity. LOONA became the third K-Pop girl group to break into The Artist 100 after BLACKPINK and TWICE. LOONA’s third album, ‘Midnight(12:00)’ gained a lot of attraction following the news that Lee Soo-man, founder of SM Entertainment, helped produce LOONA's title track, ‘Why Not?’. It is a rare occasion that Lee Soo-man himself will help produce artists, not from SM Entertainment.

NCT, ranked at #8, became a Million Seller with their newest album, ‘NCT- The 2nd Album RESONANCE Pt.1’. Following the release of their second official album on October 12th, NCT sold more than 1.2 million total copies of the albums since its debut. Furthermore, NCT topped iTunes Top Album Chart in 32 different countries including the United States, Mexico, Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. They also secured first place on the biggest Chinese music streaming site, QQ Music, and got 6th place on Billboard 200. This is NCT’s first time breaking into Billboard 200 as the entire group. NCT continues its significant achievements by becoming a nominee for 2020 American Music Awards’ Favorite Social Artist along with BTS and EXO.
